MyDecisive Design Principles

MyDecisive was built from the ground up to redefine cloud observability. Our design is centered on six core rules that ensure speed, flexibility, and intelligence:

1. Cloud-Native and Customer-Owned

MyDecisive installs directly into your cloud environment, not ours. This design is non-negotiable because observability must operate at wire-speed—the same speed as your network—while maintaining a low total cost of ownership.

2. Built on Kubernetes

We utilize industry standards, not proprietary clusters. MyDecisive runs anywhere Kubernetes (K8s) runs, leveraging the world’s most trusted cloud platform to manage and scale our services efficiently.

3. Elastic and Stateless Architecture

Although often called a cluster, MyDecisive is architecturally a highly scalable service mesh. All internal components are designed to be stateless, dynamically discovered, and auto-scaled as native Kubernetes resources.

4. Seamless OpenTelemetry Integration

You interact with MyDecisive using OpenTelemetry (OTEL). And you bring your distribution…you do not need to use one that we support. Also, unlike the complexity of a standalone OTEL deployment, MyDecisive automates the installation and upkeep, allowing you to focus on results, not configuration. Most of our users are first-time OTEL users.

5. Hands-on Learning and Sandboxes

Accelerate your learning with our sandbox environment. We offer installable labs that provide hands-on experience with the platform and production-ready solutions (which often use identical component configurations to our labs so don’t be afraid to dive right in).

6. Intelligent and Adaptive (AI-Driven)

Unlike static and immutable systems, MyDecisive is designed to be dynamic and adaptive. Using embedded AI and sophisticated automations, the platform is capable of optimizing itself, your cloud environment, and even your applications.
